Pastor Sheldon McCarter is the Senior Pastor of Greater Cleveland Avenue Christian Church. Under his leadership the church has grown from a membership of 55 to 3,000 members. His ministry has touched the soul and spirit of clergy and laity above and beyond cultural and denominational barriers.

With his bold and anointed preachings and teachings, he is determined to reach the lost and the hurting with messages of hope and deliverance. Through his belief in God, he teaches that it is possible for all of God's children to live a victorious life. He is a man of vision, wisdom, character and integrity..."A man after God's own heart."

His wife and best friend, Co-Pastor Joyce McCarter, is his number one supporter. They are the proud parents of three children: Xavia (Kemona) , Alana, and Alaya McCarter.
